Dock Invoice

GST invoicing for Indian businesses that bill overseas clients.

Dock produces correct Indian GST tax invoices — export under LUT, export with IGST paid, and domestic CGST/SGST or IGST. Enter your amounts in USD and it derives the INR value from a per-invoice conversion rate, then computes every tax figure on it.

Three invoice types, done properly

Pick the treatment and Dock brings the fields, the tax behaviour and the declaration wording that go with it.

Export

Under LUT

Zero-rated, with no IGST charged. Dock prints the letter-of-undertaking declaration and keeps the shipping bill number, date and port code optional.

Export

With IGST paid

IGST charged on the invoice so you can claim it back. Shipping bill number, date and port code are required, with their own declaration wording.

Domestic

CGST/SGST or IGST

The split is decided from the GST state code in each party's GSTIN — not a dropdown you can get wrong. Domestic invoices also carry a UPI QR code.

Everything in one window

No tabs to keep open, no dashboard to log into. Every invoice you have raised, filterable by period and ready to hand over.

01

Priced in USD, taxed in INR

A conversion rate per invoice, so the INR value — and every tax figure derived from it — matches what you actually agreed with the client.

02

The fields each type needs

Shipping bill number, port code, place of supply and country of supply appear when the treatment calls for them, and stay out of the way when it doesn't.

03

Set up once

Your company, bank, logo, signature, HSN/SAC defaults and numbering. Invoice numbers roll over automatically on the Indian financial year.

04

Saved customers and items

Pull in a customer or a line item you have used before, or clone last month's invoice in a single click.

05

Multiple businesses

Each one in its own database file, with a completely separate invoice number series. Nothing bleeds between them.

06

Ready for your CA

CSV export of any filtered period, plus one-click backup and restore of the whole business.

Two print layouts

The same invoice, rendered for two different readers — the client who only ever sees a PDF, and the office that files a paper copy.

Modern

A colour letterhead, for clients who only ever see the PDF. Shown here as an export invoice under LUT, in USD and INR.

A generated Classic layout domestic GST tax invoice, monochrome and fully ruled, showing the CGST and SGST split

Classic

Monochrome and fully ruled, the way your CA expects it. Prints cleanly on any office laser, with the CGST and SGST split laid out in full.

It runs on your machine. That is the whole architecture.

There is no account, no login and no cloud. Every invoice, customer and setting for a business lives in a single file you own — copy it to a USB drive, hand it to your CA, restore it on a new laptop.

Need it under a licence that is not the AGPL — to embed it, or to ship a modified build you cannot publish? Talk to us.

  • Nothing leaves the machine — no account to create, nothing to sync
  • Open source under the AGPL-3.0 — you do not have to take our word for any of this
  • One file per business, yours to copy, back up and restore
  • macOS, Windows and Linux — a single application, with nothing left running in the background
  • Free to download, and free to build from source yourself
